Summary of Grant Expenditures

In fiscal 2005, BWF approved $34.2 million in new grants and paid out $24.4 million in grants. We supported approximately 468 active grants (new and continuing) at academic and other nonprofit institutions across the United States and Canada.  Over 85 percent of these grants were awarded through our competitive award programs, with most of the awards going to for individual scientists nominated by their institutions.
