Program
The EV Challenge provides an exciting and dynamic educational experience for high school students around the state. This nationally recognized program is a yearlong, interdisciplinary educational experience that focuses on the important relationship between science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts, energy conservation, personal transportation choices, and a healthy environment. During the course of a school year students are involved in the design and conversion of a full-size electric vehicle. In the spring, all participating schools bring the vehicles together for an exciting two-day competition.
