Are indirect costs allowed?

No. Indirect costs or institutional overhead may not be charged against the grant.

Are grantees permitted to have other simultaneous funding, for example, from the National Institutes of Health (e.g. R01) or another foundation?

Yes.   

When will I be notified as to whether I have been selected?

Award notification will be announced by May 24, 2013.

What expenses are covered by the travel grant?

Food, lodging, airfare, and ground transportation are allowed plus supplies and materials that are research related to the collaboration between the award recipient and host. 

Can I schedule multiple visits to my collaborator's lab?

Yes, but travel cannot extend beyond December 31, 2014 and you must not exceed the approved budget amount set by BWF.
