Students take classes in various areas of science including biology, chemistry, physics, veterinary science, and forensics. Goals for the project are to provide Hispanic students with equal opportunity to attend an academic camp, increase students’ enthusiasm for science, enhance their competence in science, engender an interest in pursuing a career in research, science, or technology, and acclimate the students to a university setting so their experience at camp will allow them to envision themselves attending a university.
