Science Education - Scientists Working with Teachers

Scientists Working with Students

The K-12 Outreach from University Science Departments Conference was established in 1999 to convene scientists, educators, community leaders, and program directors of science outreach programs on a continuous basis and to summarize their experiences, identify areas of success, and create a collective vision for development and dissemination.  For more information visit www.ncsu.edu/ncsu/pams/science_house

Through the North Carolina Science, Mathematics and Technology Education Center, a Teacher Link Program was established to recruit scientists who are interested in working with teachers in a strategic fashion to improve inquiry-based science learning in the classroom.  For more information visit http://www.ncsmt.org/prog.teach.html
