PROJECT TITLE: SURRY COUNTY SCHOOLS EMERGING MEDICAL LEADERS PROGRAM
Our program Emerging Medical Leaders seeks to engage middle school students in Health care and related fields through a two-week summer "Junior Camp Med" school enrichment camp program as well as support students as they participate in a school-based Health Occupations club. Our project would support students in all 4 middle schools within rural Surry County North Carolina. Our partner organization, Northern Regional Hospital would provide students with guest speakers, mentors, and field trip opportunities to allow them to explore various career opportunities in Healthcare located within their own community.
